KIS 2010 is a universal remedy of protection of the information. The program provides not only virus protection, but also protection against spam and network attacks. New in protection:
- The component is included in composition KIS 2010 Control of programs which together with the Proactive protection and the Network screen provides the general-purpose protection against any threats. The component registers the actions made by programs in system, and regulates their activity proceeding from what level of trust is appropriated by it. The component supervises access to personal data of the user, to parameters and objects of an operating system, and also prevents performance by programs of dangerous actions in system.
- New component IM-Antivirus provides safety of operation with the majority of programs for a fast message exchange. The component checks messages on presence of harmful objects.
- The mechanism of start of indirect programs in the securable virtual environment – the Safe environment is implemented. Start of Internet browsers in the safe environment provides safety of review of web resources, including protection against penetration on the computer of harmful programs and protection of user data against unapproved change and removal, and also possibility of removal of all objects which have been saved up for a session in a network the Internet: temporal files, cookies, history of visiting of web pages and etc.
- The unit of check of links which is under control of the Web antivirus is included in composition KIS. The unit checks all links allocated on the web page, to an accessory to suspicious and phishing web addresses. The unit is built in web browsers of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox in the form of a plug-in.
- Access control on phishing web sites and protection against phishings-attacks is carried out by check of the links containing in messages and on web pages, and also at access attempt to web sites, on basis of phishing web addresses. Check on an accessory to basis of phishing web addresses is accessible to the Web antivirus, IM-Antivirus and Anti-spam.
- In the check task list the new tool – search уязвимостей which facilitates search and elimination of security risks and уязвимостей in the programs installed on your computer and parameters of an operating system is added.
New in the interface:
- The new approach to control of protection – center зaщиты is implemented. Computer protection is provided in three directions: files and personal data of the user, objects of an operating system and the programs installed on the computer, and also net surfing. For each direction of protection the dial-up of components Kaspersky Internet Security answers. Using protection center, the user can estimate, what component participates in protection of a certain category of resources, and quickly to pass to adjustment of its parameters.
- The new section Control of programs provides rapid access to control of security prefixes which help to prevent performance by programs of actions dangerous to system and to supervise access to your personal data. Also here start of programs in the safe environment is implemented.
- Masters and tools which help to solve specific tasks on computer safety, are selected in separate section Safety +.
